How far in advance should I book an appointment if I want to be fully vaccinated before Summer travel?
Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19, which which is why we recommend getting fully vaccinated before traveling. You should allow yourself at least 2-6 weeks to before your travels to become fully vaccinated.
In general, people are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose Pfizer or Moderna series, or 2 weeks after a single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Lastly, consider joining community leaders and trusted health professionals from NAACP, CHC, and Dignity Health next Wednesday, May 12, for a virtual discussion about the COVID-19 vaccines. Register here and share the post on social media.
