DESCRIPTION:The California Multicultural Arts Institute presents Gulistan Dance Theater in concert! Join us in the Milking Parlor at the historic Octagon Barn Center in San Luis Obispo for DANCING THE SILK ROAD\, a showcase of delightful and rarely-seen traditional dances of Uzbekistan\, Iran\, Azerbaijan & beyond. Percussionist Ron Wagner\, formerly of Cirque du Soleil\, is featured on the Uzbek doira/frame drum. The evening also includes a screening of Gulistan's short fantasy film\, ENCHANTED DUNE\, directed by Aygul Maksutova and filmed at Oceano Dunes. A reception with light snacks follows the concert and film.
