DESCRIPTION:David will demonstrate and discuss the inking\, wiping and printing of an etched plate using the etching press. He will be printing "Happy Isles\," an etching with aquatint that was juried into Yosemite Renaissance 31\, in 2016. From David's description of the image: "A study in vivacity. This small Cottonwood is growing in the Merced riverbed at Happy Isles. With its backlit leaves dancing in a light breeze\, it positively glowed in front of the shady backdrop. From the pool of water under the large rock\, the water cascades down through the rocks to meet the eastern main channel."
