SUMMARY:Templeton Women in Business Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Join us to award our scholarship recipients\, speaker Leslie Orradre on how to make a difference giving back to the community\, networking\, and a delicious lunch.\n\n\n\nBio for Jack's Helping Hand\n\nJack's Helping Hand was created to carry on the memory of one small boy\, Jack Ready\, who won the hearts of our community during his three-year struggle with a rare form of brain cancer. The Financial Assistance program is the heart of Jacks Helping Hand and helps with medical treatments\, equipment\, services\, transportation\, and lodging when there are no other sources to cover these needs. Other programs\, to help children with special needs\, include three adaptive toy lending libraries\, an adaptive swimming program\, a therapeutic horseback riding program\, and a camp for children with cancer and their families. Additionally\, a universally inclusive and accessible Park in Nipomo on 30 acres of donated land is being constructed. The Jack Ready Imagination Park will be a place which will allow children with disabilities to play with their families and peers while also providing a fun and relaxing experience for their parents. Current plans for the park include a large uniquely equipped universally accessible and inclusive playground\, a therapeutic riding facility\, hardscape courts\, playing fields\, accessible hiking trails\, bridal paths\, as well as barbeque and picnic areas. \n\nBridget Ready\, co-founder of Jack's Helping Hand\, and a retired schoolteacher\, has made it her mission to ensure that the special children of San Luis Obispo County\, and their families\, feel supported and find joy during their individual journeys. \n\nLeslie Orradre\, Executive Director of Jack's Helping Hand\, and a retired Speech Pathologist who worked with Jack\, has been active with the organization since it's inception and works to ensure the organization runs smoothly.\n\nRegister Here
