DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome Joan Gelfand\, a Bay Area writer living in Paso Robles to talk about the ways in which she has collaborated with film makers\, musicians and artists to amplify her poetry. In this presentation\, Joan will show a poetry film and a video of Joe Wecht\, a musician who composed a piece for one of her award-winning poems. Joe went on to perform the piece at several Bay Area venues with an opera singer. We will also hear a cut from Joan's CD\, "Transported." Joan will also talk about ways to find and work with collaborators\, and ultimately\, how to position collaborations to reach wide audiences. There will be a Q&A session at the end.
