Dr. Embree brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, derived from her extensive academic and research background in bioengineering and microbial communities.

Dr. Embree's journey began with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, followed by a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. Her research stands at the forefront of microbial community study, employing innovative methodologies to explore both natural and synthetic ecosystems. With a focus on bioinformatics and multiple-omics datasets integration, her work examines the microbiome from a unique species-centric perspective.
