"Building a Process Improvement Mindset"

In this workshop presented by the Cal Poly CIE SBDC, we will cover topics related to continuous improvement and the associated Lean and Six Sigma thinking and how they relate to both product and process design. A quick overview on some specific lean tools will also be discussed in order for many of the starting companies to envision their production and scaling up phase.

Dr. Ahmed Deif is an Associate Professor of Industrial Technology at California Polytechnic State University. Dr. Deif has a diverse portfolio in his industrial experience ranging from automotive industry where he worked at the R&D center at Chrysler Canada to steel industry to electronic industry and finally assembly industry at various engineering and consultancy capacities. As a lean and six sigma certified expert, Dr. Deif helped various industries in improving their production performance and conducted various lean and six sigma trainings in North America, Africa and Asia over the last 20 years.
