Join Festival artists at the sun-drenched Tolosa Winery for an elegant dinner of farm-to-table California cuisine, then music director Scott Yoo will lead an exploration of this transformative work for clarinet, violin, cello and piano, which was performed for the first time in a German work camp during World War II. You’ll learn about this piece and its provenance, both of which prove music’s unique power to transcend the darkest moments. Also featuring clarinetist Romie de Guise-Langlois, violinist Emily Daggett Smith, cellist Jonah Kim, and pianist Noam Elkies.
