About Us

Every child deserves a future filled with possibility. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast exists because too many kids in our region face the alternative — hours after school without structure, mentorship, or hope. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

We envision a Central Coast where every child — regardless of zip code, family income, or circumstance — has access to the programs, people, and safe spaces they need to thrive. Sixty years into our work, that vision still drives everything we do.

The communities we serve are some of the most economically vulnerable on the Central Coast. In cities like Guadalupe, Shandon, and Santa Maria, more than one in three children lives below the federal poverty line. In Paso Robles, working families are stretched thin — two jobs, long commutes, limited access to affordable enrichment.
