Weber's charming and operatic Clarinet Quintet sets the stage for Berg's 20th century Chamber Concerto, a melodic and virtuosic masterwork for solo piano and violin, accompanied by 13 winds. Rounding out the program is the perennial favorite "Trout" Quintet of Schubert, one of Mahler's earliest influences, which adds the double bass to the standard piano quartet for maximum sound and depth. ?
